County of San Diego’s Health & Human Services Agency
Albert Garcia is a Chief of Operations for the County of San Diego’s Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA). Since joining the County in 2005, he’s had a variety of roles with HHSA delivering services to the residents of San Diego county through various social safety net programs. Albert has been involved in projects that have included electronic records management, process improvement, community outreach, and program & policy management.
In his current role, Albert oversees the Customer Service Call Center and the Document Processing Center for his department, as well as the Hospital and Community Outreach division. Amongst some recent milestones, his team was presented with a National Association of Counties (NACo) Award for their use of social media in CalFresh, and a NACo Award for the use of cloud-based technology within their Agency-integrated call center. Albert is a graduate of San Diego State University.
