Gene Davis is a Senior Director with Mendocino Farms Restaurant and a long time Professor at DeVry University. He describes himself as an energetic, highly disciplined, focused, and passionate leader, who is a Construction and Design Professional, an MBA-educated teacher, veteran United States Marine Corps military leader, and a former multi-unit restaurant operator, as well as an intense self-learner, mentor, and developer of talent.
Professionally, before his time at Mendocino Farms, Gene spent 5 years with California Pizza Kitchen as the Sr. Director of Construction and Facilities, and prior to CPK, 6 years with Groupe Le Duff North America, and 17 years at Ruby Tuesday Restaurants. He has extensive background in leadership, finance, HR management, construction, design, and chain supply management, as well as strategic and project management. He is a Certified Restaurant Facilities Professional (RFMA) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Academically, Gene graduated Summa Cum Laude from American Military University with an MBA with a concentration in Competitive Intelligence and BS in Business with a concentration is Organization Behavior. As a part time professor for DeVry University, he teaches a variety of classes in business, management, customer service, chain supply, hospitality, customer service, and project management. He is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and NCO who stays active in organizations that support our troops. In his free time, Gene is a fitness and water enthusiast and enjoys a variety of activities and enjoys karaoke and playing his ukulele. |
