Dr. Jamie Crews has more than 15 years of experience in local government. She specializes in strategic talent management with an emphasis in organizational and leadership development. She established and leads the County of Orange’s first organizational development function. In her role, she is responsible for countywide talent processes, performance management, succession development, change management, service culture, and coaching and consulting services. As an experienced change practitioner and people strategist, Jamie has led large scale organizational culture changes, strategy development, talent development initiatives, and served as a coach to senior leaders. She has designed a number of award-winning talent management programs, and loves partnering with leaders to maximize their potential and that of their team.
Working in a service-first organization, Jamie prioritizes creating strategies that keep customers at the core of all initiatives and designing from their perspective. Truly, employees are the first customer. Some of her most rewarding work has been leading the development of customer/employee experience initiatives that create the environment, processes from the customer perspective, and systems for people to provide exceptional public service - internally and externally. Jamie holds a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership, a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Her research is focused on women in government leadership, and she serves as adjunct faculty in an organizational leadership program. |
